The Power house behind Voicey Versa! Who is Aisha Manrique?
Every voice has the power to tell a story, and mine has been doing just that for as long as I
can remember. From the time I was a little girl, gathering children in my community to
read to them with passion and flair; I discovered that the voice could do more than
communicate, it could connect, inspire, and transform. I grew up performing on stages,
entertaining audiences, and honing a love for storytelling that would one day become my
life’s work.
But like many, I strayed from my passion in pursuit of what society called “success.” I
enrolled in not one, but two degree programs, trying to fit into a mold that didn’t quite feel
right to me. For two decades, I climbed the corporate ladder, excelling in roles that were
prestigious but left me unfulfilled. Deep down, I knew I was meant for something more,
something that aligned with my love for creativity, connection, and the human voice.
That moment of clarity finally came. I realized that success isn’t about adhering to a script
written by others; it’s about creating and following your own. So, I made the bold decision
to step away from my corporate career after 20 years and fully embrace my calling. I
founded Voicey Versa Productions Ltd., a company dedicated to honing and coaching the
art and power of voice, and in doing so, I found my true purpose.
Since then, my journey has been nothing short of transformative. I am proud to have lent
my voice to some of the most prestigious stages and productions in the world. As the Live
Announcer and Scriptwriter for the Caribbean Music Awards, held at the iconic Kings
Theatre in New York, I had the honor of celebrating the voices of the Caribbean on a global
platform. I also served as the Live Announcer for the 2024 Miss Universe Trinidad and
Tobago Pageant, an event that exemplifies grace and empowerment. And when the
Agency for Disney reached out for me to be the Voice of God for 24 shows, it was a
profound affirmation that stepping into my true calling was the right choice
“Your Voice Can Change Your Life!”

In addition to my work on these global stages, I am proud to be a Certified Vocal Coach from
the prestigious M.A.H.I. (Music and Arts Healing Institute) and a member of both the Voice
and Speech Trainers Association as well as the National Association for Voice Actors in the
USA. These affiliations, combined with years of experience and a relentless pursuit of
excellence, fuel my passion for helping others unlock the power of their voices. I continually
strive to refine my craft while sharing my knowledge with those I coach and mentor.
It would be remiss of me if I did not mention that every voice carries the weight of a story, and
mine is no exception. From the moment I discovered the power of storytelling as a child, I knew
my voice could inspire and connect. But it wasn’t until I faced unimaginable loss that I truly
understood its ability to heal.
Losing both my mother and brother in such a short span of time shattered my world.
Grief consumed me, leaving me searching for a way to cope, to make sense of it all. It was in
those moments of pain that I turned fully to my voice. Immersing myself in voice work; whether
through performing, coaching, or storytelling—became my solace. It gave me purpose, helping
me process my emotions and channel my pain into something meaningful.
Devoting myself to my passion not only helped me heal but also deepened my understanding
of how powerful the human voice can be. It reminded me that our voices are more than
instruments of expression, they are tools for evolution, connection, and resilience.
Whether I’m teaching someone to command a room, coaching them to overcome stage fright,
or helping a brand connect authentically with its audience, I believe our voices hold the key to
unlocking our greatest potential..
This is why I do what I do: to inspire, connect, and help others orate the story of their own
success.
